Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a mother. I imagined the joy of nurturing a child, watching them grow, and building a loving family. However, life had other plans. In 2012, I was diagnosed with PCOS, which meant my journey to motherhood wouldn’t be as straightforward as I’d hoped.
After marrying the love of my life in 2015, we eagerly started trying for a family. But as the months went by, reality set in – getting pregnant wasn’t going to be easy. We began our fertility journey in 2016, starting with cycle monitoring and timed intercourse, followed by a series of IUIs.
When those attempts were unsuccessful, we moved on to IVF. We’ve undergone two IVF cycles, and although they didn’t result in the pregnancy we so desperately wanted, we remain hopeful.
Throughout this journey, my husband and I have relied on each other for strength and support. Our bond has grown stronger with each passing day. While I’ve become more reserved, prioritizing my mental health, my husband remains outgoing, always there to lift my spirits.
We’re grateful for the Fertility Friends Foundation grant, which brings us one step closer to our dream of parenthood. This journey has been long and arduous, but with this grant, we feel reinvigorated, ready to face the next chapter in our quest for a family.
Thank you again!
