Grief, Grit, and the Will to Try Again
After two years of heartbreaking setbacks—including multiple miscarriages and a failed round of IVF—this journey has tested every part of who we are. As young professionals and scholars, we are used to solving problems, making plans, and achieving goals. However, fertility is one of those paths that refuses to follow logic or timelines.
Behind closed doors, we have grappled with chronic pain, anxiety, and the invisible weight of unanswered questions. There were moments when hope felt like a distant memory. Still, we have held onto the dream of building a family, even when it felt impossibly far away.
That is why receiving the Fertility Friends Foundation grant means the world to us. It is not just financial support—it’s the validation that our story matters, that our struggle is seen. With this grant, we are able to move forward with another IVF cycle, giving us renewed hope and a chance we thought we might never have again.
We are profoundly grateful for this lifeline, and while we do not know what the next chapter holds, we are finally feeling something we have not felt in a long time—possibility. Thank you for helping us believe again.
