ABOUT THE GORGEOUS GRANTS
How the Gorgeous Grants Work
The Gorgeous Grants provide direct financial assistance to help reduce the cost of fertility treatment for individuals and families pursuing their path to parenthood.
Administered through Fertility Friends Foundation (FFF), the grants are awarded through FFF’s established grant application process and are subject to the Foundation’s eligibility criteria, medical review, and financial assessment procedures.
Grant Value
Each Gorgeous Grant is valued at $5,000 CAD.
Grant Cycles
Gorgeous Grants are awarded as part of Fertility Friends Foundation’s biannual grant cycles, which take place each spring and fall.
The number of Gorgeous Grants awarded each year will depend on the funds raised on a yearly basis. Our goal is to grow the program over time so that we can support multiple grants each year, helping more individuals and families access the fertility care they need.
INTERNATIONAL GRANT COMPONENT
Expanding Access Beyond Borders
While the initial focus of the Gorgeous Grants is to support Canadians pursuing fertility treatment, our vision is to expand access to individuals and families beyond Canada’s borders.
If sufficient funds are raised, Fertility Friends Foundation plans to launch an International Gorgeous Grant to support individuals residing outside Canada who must travel to a Canadian fertility clinic to access fertility care.
Eligible international recipients would be required to:
- Receive fertility treatment through a Canadian fertility clinic
- Meet Fertility Friends Foundation’s eligibility criteria and application requirements
- Participate in FFF’s standard medical and financial review process
As with all Fertility Friends Foundation grants, funds would be disbursed directly to Canadian fertility clinics or approved service providers to ensure compliance with Canadian charitable regulations.
Through this future expansion, the Gorgeous Grants aims to help make fertility care more equitable and accessible for all, regardless of where someone lives.

ELIGIBLE & INELIGIBLE EXPENSES
Eligible Expenses
Fertility Friends Foundation provides funding for fertility treatments and family-building services in Canada. Eligible treatments may include:
- In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
- Egg Donation
- Sperm Donation
- Gestational Surrogacy
See Eligibility Criteria page for full details and requirements.
Expenses Not Covered
Please review the eligibility criteria carefully to determine whether you qualify for one of our grants. While Fertility Friends Foundation supports IVF and certain family-building treatments, the following expenses are not currently eligible for funding:
Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)
Except in cases where applicants qualify for the Not My Tummy grant.
During the FET cycle, your embryos are thawed and placed into your uterus. This is done at a time in your menstrual cycle that best supports a pregnancy.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a simple procedure that puts sperm directly inside your uterus, which helps healthy sperm get closer to your egg.
Egg Freezing Sperm Freezing
Fertility preservation is saving or protecting eggs, sperm, or reproductive tissue so that a person can use them to have a child later on in life.
Fertility medication
Fertility medication is medication used in the process of infertility and is needed to help with preparing the body for fertility treatment.
IMPACT OF THE GRANTS
What Your Support Makes Possible
Every donation to The Gorgeous Grants directly supports families on their fertility journey.
With each cycle, the Grants provides:
- Direct financial support for fertility treatment
- Increased access for underserved and underrepresented communities
- Advocacy and awareness around fertility equity in Canada
- Long-term impact reporting and transparency
Together, donors and supporters help remove one of the biggest barriers to family-building: cost.
If you are considering a larger donation, please contact Isabelle Lefebvre-Vary at isabelle.vary@fertilityfriendsfoundation.com to discuss giving options.
