My name is Pinku (32 years old), and my partner’s name is Mani (38 years old). We had been trying to conceive for the past 3.5 years. We consulted a fertility specialist and completed all the recommended tests, which all came back normal. The doctor diagnosed us with unexplained infertility and explained that our only options to conceive would be through IUI or IVF.
We attempted IUI twice, as it was the more cost-effective option, but unfortunately, it did not work. Our doctor then recommended IVF, but the cost—around $25,000—was a significant financial hurdle for us. We spent about a year trying to figure out how to manage the funds.
Then one day, we were incredibly lucky to come across this grant. We decided to apply, filled out the application, and were thrilled to learn that we had been selected. Receiving this grant gave us renewed hope and inspiration to start our IVF journey.
