Our journey to grow our family has been deeply personal and medically driven. We are both carriers of a genetic blood disorder, and our eldest son was born with it. Because of this, our hope in pursuing IVF is not only to grow our family, but also to conceive a healthy child free from this disease and potentially find a compatible sibling match for our son to receive a bone marrow transplant.

Many people associate IVF solely with infertility, but for our family, IVF is the safest path forward. Through IVF with genetic testing, we can significantly reduce the risk of passing this condition on to another child while also creating the possibility of helping our eldest son receive the treatment he needs. This journey has been emotionally, physically, and financially challenging, and the costs associated with IVF and specialized genetic testing are substantial.

We have made many sacrifices as a family to pursue this path, remaining committed to both our son’s future and our dream of growing our family. Despite the challenges, we continue to move forward with hope and determination.

Receiving support from Fertility Friends Foundation brings us one step closer to that goal. This grant is more than financial assistance—it is hope, encouragement, and the reassurance that we are not facing this journey alone. We are profoundly grateful for this opportunity and for the compassion shown to families like ours. Thank you for helping us move closer to growing our family and potentially changing our son’s life forever.

These grant recipients benefited from both Fertility Friends Foundation’s IVF Cycle Program, which combines a $5,000 FFF fertility grant with additional in-kind IVF services generously provided by one of our partner clinics, and the new PGT-M Access Fund, which provides a $5,000 FFF fertility grant to help them pursue IVF while reducing the risk of passing on a serious genetic condition to their future child.
